Founded Soter & Partners in 1993 and has been with Soter ever since. He laid the foundations of this company based on his knowledge and expertise in accounting, his thorough understanding of the Romanian business and financial environment, as well as his talent for valuing and parenting with exceptional people is. He graduated from the Academy of Economic Studies in 1986, and he was recognized financial auditor in 2001 by the Romanian Chamber of Auditors.

Mr. Cristian Scafa is reputed to be the best rider among accountants. It was his passion for horses that led to the creation of the Soter Logo. His hobbies also include scuba diving and yachting.

Joined Soter while only a student in her 3rd year at the Faculty of Finances, Insurance, Banks and Stock Exchanges at the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest, being a last year graduate with top marks and she started off as a young and eager employee in the Accounting Department that counted back then 5 people. Now this Department counts around 15 people and is growing continuously. Since July 2001 when the first joined SOTER SRL as a junior accountant aspiring to develop her professional skills she succeed to impose as an ambitious person interested in building a career as a business professional. After 4 years of working there she becomes Accounting Partner and in present she is in charge with the entire Department of Accounting at Soter. She is an expert accountant, member of Expert Accountant and Authorized Accountants Corps, she is an evaluator expert, she is a fiscal consultant, member of Chamber of Fiscal Consultants. In 2004 obtain a diploma in Master in International Accounting Standards, specialization International Accounting. Currently attending Executive MBA programme (EMBA), the American School of Business, the Institute for Business and Public Administration from Bucharest in partnership with a prestigious American university Kennesaw State Universtiy, Atlanta .Read her success story.

Has been with Soter since 1996. She is an expert accountant, member of CECCAR, resident auditor, member of CAFR, as well as a human resources inspector. Her professional activity also includes scientific articles published in The Truth Romanian journal and The Medical Obesrvatory. She contributed with her skills in accounting and her dedication and created from scratch the Payroll Department in Soter. He joined Soter & Partners in 2001 after he previously worked for 4 years in the KPMG Romania’s Tax Department.  He has an extensive experience on accounting and tax problems that involve both Romanian and international legislation, being involved in complex projects such as privatization, restructuring, tax planning as well as client assistance in disputes with tax authorities.  Currently he is advising high profile portfolio of multinational companies activating in different areas of business such as industry, constructions, services, IT&C, distribution, real-estate development, etc.  As coordinator of the Tax Department he has a very client oriented approach, developing relations based on trust and partnership.  His goal is to protect the clients’ business from tax risks and provide advice that is not only efficient but also safe. Dan MANOLESCU holds a PhD in Economics – Accounting and is a member of the Superior Council of the Romanian Chamber of Fiscal Consultants having also a extensive publishing activity on accounting and tax topics.

Joined the Tax Consultancy Department at Soter in 2005, specializing in expatriate taxation. He brought along more than 8 years of experience in this field and previously worked for multinationals such as KPMG, Arthur Anderson and PwC. There he collaborated with expatriates from around the world and with complex international taxation issues. His experience is itself a certification for the clients that choose Soter when it comes to their expatriates.

She is the Head of the Audit Department of SOTER & Partners since September 2001. Proudly, she runs her team of young, dynamic team, with an average age of 26 years, extremely valuable, bi-lingual and all enrolled to become FCCA certified members. Monica is herself member of this international organization since April 2004 and she is also financial certified auditor approved by the Romanian Chamber of auditors since June 2005. The professional experience that Monica brought to this organization came from three and half years of collaboration with KPMG Romania and one year and half with former Bank Creditanstalt Romania, respectively HVB Bank Romania. Since 2003 she was actively implicated in the Work Group organized by the Romanian Chamber of Auditors, created to answer the specific, practical issues raised by the auditors practitioners. Since 2007, she is part of the Scientific Council of the Romanian Chamber of Auditors' magazine, where are published articles with reviews, opinions and interpretations of legislative issues.

Is very proud to have been with Soter from the very beginning, in 1994. Back then he was in charge with the IT Department and with the distribution of Contas, the internally developed accounting software of Soter. In 1996 he took over the Administrative and Treasury Department and in 1997 he was promoted Technical Director. Previous to working with Soter, Leonard Scafa developed a solid academic background. He graduated first at the Faculty of Constructions Machinery and Equipment in 1992 and was certified by the Institute of Researches in Transportation INCERTRANS as a scientific researcher in 1994.
